The 71000 and 72000 series consist of a variety of high temperature asbestos and non-asbestos products.

High temperature products are generally used in highly critical sealing applications. Before choosing a material, it is therefore necessary to proceed with a thorough analysis of its capacity to perform according to expectations.

Usually used in static seal applications (placed in between two relatively stationary surfaces), the material must provide adequate sealing and last according to expectations. Important factors to consider in order to make the right choice: the temperature in the environment of the gasket, the nature of the fluids it will come in contact with, and the internal fluid pressure. Temperature and internal pressure should preferably be considered simultaneously.
